Dear Friends, “Our Miss Metropolitan 2009 titleholder is….. Amanda Mason!” When I heard my name called to be crowned, at the center of the stage I was extremely excited. Along with the title I have two very sweet sister queens Inga Steinmann (Miss Manhattan) and Danielle Roundtree (Miss Greater Gotham), I look forward to spending time with them through our group appearances. To be able to represent my area of New York City as Miss Metropolitan is such an honor and also mentioning my favorite place in New York City is the “Metropolitan” Opera. I started singing when I was five years old, and for as long as I can remember I dreamed of living in New York and performing on it’s stages. To me New York has always been a magical place, filled with bright lights and endless opportunities. What can I say? I was born a “Broadway Baby.” I am looking forward to competing at the Miss New York Pageant in June. It will be held at our states capital Albany. I am excited to see what they have in store for us. I know I have a lot of work ahead of me, but I am working with the most talented people. Thank you Diane, Chrissy, and Recardo for being our directors and helping us every set of the way. I want to Thank the people who have helped me greatly to prepare for the Miss Metropolitan Pageant. First of All Thank You to God, for being with me every step of the way. Thank you to my Parents, who are the most amazing parents in the world. Mom and Dad you both are so supportive of everything I do. Thank you Mom and Dad for being my best friends and my role models.
